DECK RESTORATION
The Sierra's extreme temperature changes, heavy snow loads and intense UV exposure take a toll on horizontal wood surfaces such as decks and stairways. A regular deck maintenance program that includes cleaning, sanding, and staining can increase the life and value of your deck and prevent costly replacement.

The Process:
First, we countersink screws and/or nails to secure loose deck boards and handrails and perform any repairs necessary. Second, we sand the deck boards and handrails, which smoothes the surface and helps give the deck a new look when the stain is applied. This sanding step is optional and depends on your personal preference and the condition of your deck. After the screws have been secured, and/or the deck has been sanded, we use a two stage chemical wash and a high-powered pressure rinse to clean the deck and prepare it for staining. We allow deck boards to completely dry and then return to apply two coats of stain to the surfaces. We saturate the wood completely, and then wipe off any excess puddles.
